The Friends of Hapitok Board works in cooperation with the San Luis Obispo County Office of Education by paying expenses that exceed state and local funding for the Hapitok program. The Friends of Hapitok pays approximately 60% of the total cost for the camp. It relies on the generosity of our community through donations from private citizens, service clubs, businesses and charitable organization. The Friends of Hapitok is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization.
