About the Board
The Friends of Hapitok (FOH) meets monthly Jan - July, September - November. We are a group of commited volunteers, that include 2 representatives from our teen volunteers (TIGRs), and 1 current staff member.
FOH Meetings are held as specified above, and review the budget, current topics, as well as updates on things like our ACA standing. Camp Hapitok is an accredited camp through the ACA, and we diligently review our program to ensure we are continually meeting those standards. Additional information about the ACA and the associated standards can be found by clicking here.
The Camp Director provides a monthly report about current status. Additionally, at the end of the Hapitok season, the Camp Director provides a written sumary of feedback provided by parents, teen volunteers, and staff members. That summary is reviewed in the September meeting.
Finally, the FOH approve a budget each year, based on anticipated income and expenses. The budget is monitored each month, and line-item overages are approved.
To contact a member of the Friends of Hapitok Board, you may email them at: hello@camphapitok.org , put thier first name in the subject line, and the email will be forwarded to that FOH member. Email is checked multiple times a day. |
